Five brushes on a swing system

The four upright brushes move independently of each other, and the horizontal brush is the fifth. The Brush Swing system lets the brushes work across a wide range of vehicles, and the brush system runs with Digital Printing Control.

Brushes are driven by timing belt or chain, with inverter frequency control. Washing height is set by the variant: the 250 and 300 versions differ in washing height, and each comes in a DR version as well.

The CIRRUS 5N is one of four systems Europe Makine builds for cars, vans and light commercials, alongside the Ephesus, the touchless ACROBAT 2X and the conveyor tunnel. It is built in Europe Makine's own 1,500 m² facility and shipped door to door. Installation is free, the warranty runs for 12 months, and US service technicians and spare parts stock are at the Greenacres, Florida plant.

Wash functions around the brushes

A rotary nozzle side and wheel unit washes at high pressure. A V-jet sprays water and chemicals, a polish dosing pump of Italian origin lays the polish, and a chassis wash moves its nozzles left and right under the vehicle.

Optional components can be installed at any time, so equipment can be added after the machine is in service.

What sets throughput

Throughput depends on the variant and on whether the cycle includes drying. The figures above come from Europe Makine's car wash systems page and cover the CIRRUS 5N line.

The operator display shows vehicle counters for each program and supports encryption, with fault indication as an option. The whole process is automatic under PLC computer control.
